Foundation Stones

Foundation Stones is a modular spatial installation in which charred blocks of wood form a sombre and crumbling construct of a cityscape. In Foundation Stones, the drawing in space plays a major role, with each individual stone being like an individual line that allows the construction of a more complex structure, each individual stone being like a singular entity in a more complex structure.

Artist Statement

In my work I deal with installations and images that create scenarios for current and future transformations of society. In my works I deal with questions of "nature" and "dystopia" with allusions to environmental problems and climate change. My work is the result of a close examination of new materials and experimental forms of drawing.
